President Jammeh's HIV/AIDS treatment gains more successes - four Patients discharged

The President Dr. Yahya Jammeh has discharged four HIV/AIDS patients after a successful treatment. The four Lenson Issile a Malawian national, Sonna Sonko, Ebrima Gassama and Amie Badjie were part of the 3rd and 4th batch of patients being treated by Dr. Jammeh.

Speaking at the ceremony held in Kanilai, the Gambian Leader reaffirmed his commitment to cure HIV/AIDS but warned that his treatment cannot serve as a vaccine against the disease. Dr. Jammeh advised the discharged patients to protect themselves against being re-infected. President Jammeh also disclosed that he can now cure HIV Two in just two weeks and that he has an effective treatment for Pile.

The Director General of the Presidential Medical Team, Dr. Tamsir Mbowe who is also the Director of Medical Services described President Jammeh's breakthrough in the treatment of HIV/AIDS as a remarkable and historic success. He noted that scientists and researchers were unable to cure the disease for the past twenty-five to thirty years. Dr. Mbowe however said that President Jammeh's firm belief in Allah has made him the first person to cure the disease and showcasing the effectiveness of herbal medicine.

Speaking on behalf of fellow patients Tofi Gibba praised the Gambian Leader's humanitarian efforts. He described President Jammeh as a gifted leader and a blessing for The Gambia and the world at large.

As part of the ceremony, Serrekunda Central Red Cross Link performed a play entitled "Jammeh Got the Cure" which depicted the redeeming effects of President Jammeh's breakthrough on society.

The occasion was graced by the Vice President Aja Isatou Njie-Saidy, the Speaker of the National Assembly Fatoumata Jahumpa Ceesay and Secretaries of State. The ceremony was chaired by the Chief Medical Director of RVTH, Dr Mariatou Jallow.
