The Grandmaster of the Royal House of Aranan Datu Muhammidul Ali Al-Mahmun Aranan of the Southern Philippines acting on behalf of the Royal Family of Sulu has conferred on H.E. the President Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Jammeh, the royal titles of "Datu Sri Mulia and Datu Laksamana Di Raja or Grand Commander", on the occasion of his 47th birthday. This is in recognition of President Jammeh's untiring efforts in the service of his nation and for his standing in the preservation of Peace and Solidarity amongst nations in the world, especially between The Gambia and the Royal House of Aranan.

This makes President Jammeh the third recipient of these prestigious awards.

In the same vein, the Royal Council of the House of Aranan also recognizes members of the First Family as members of the Royal Family of Maharja Adinda Aranan of the Southern Philippines.
