The Office of the President hereby informs the general public that two former Senior Government Officials of the sister Republic of Guinea Bissau, namely, Mr. Fernando Gomez, former Minister of Interior and Jose Zamora Induta, former Chief of Defence Staff have sought refuge in The Gambia following recent political upheavals in that country.
In the light of these developments, the Government of The Gambia welcomes them to stay in the country, since they are not criminals and are good citizens of ECOWAS. |
