PRESS RELEASE

The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, acting under the Provisions of Sections 71(4)(b) of the Constitutionof the Republic of The Gambia, has decided to relieve Mr Ousman Sonko of his Cabinet appointment as Minister of Interior with immediate effect. Mr Ousman Sonko is being redeployed to the Foreign Services and now appointed as The Gambia's ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
