The President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh Monday met with officials of Sun Ten Pharmaceutical Company based in Taipei. The Gambian leader discussed with them the possibility of cooperation in the development of traditional medicine.
The officials Gustavo Kao and J-Wen Liang were led to State House by the Taiwanese Ambassador to The Gambia Patrick Chang. According to Ambassador Chang, Sun Ten Pharmaceutical Company specializes in manufacturing traditional medicine with over 500 products. He spoke of the importance government attaches to the development of traditional medicine and therefore hoped that this venture with The Gambia would be worthwhile.
The Gambian leader also today received the regional director of the Francophony University Josette Shagie Tshiluila. Shortly after her audience with the Gambian leader Madam Tshiluila told waiting reporters at State House that they discussed matters pertaining to her agency's development.
