- Represented the Minister of External Affairs at the Meeting of Foreign Ministers followed by a Summit of Heads of the ECOWAS Committee of nine (9) on Liberia where the Abuja Accord, which brought peace to Liberia was signed.
- Represented the Foreign Minister at an extraordinary Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of ECOWAS on Sierra-Leone crisis in Conakry in 1997
- Attended the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland October1997.

- Set as Special Envoy to the Presidents of Senegal, Oman, Mauritania, Nigeria, Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau by the President of the Republic of The Gambia.
