A GAMBIAN BUSINESSMAN DONATES ASSORTMENTS VALUED AT d76,000 to kanilai farms.

A young Gambian business tycoon and farmer, Hamidou Jah has made a benevolent donation to the Kanilai farms. At a brief presentation ceremony held at the State House on Friday, Hamidou Jah a native of Basse Koba Kunda presented to the Gambian leader household utensils valued at D76, 000. The items include 100 plastic buckets, basins and 500 drinking cups among others.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Governor URR Modou S. Kah told President Jammeh that the benefactor did the donation out of his love for the country and in appreciation of President Jammeh's leadership. Deputy Governor Kah commended Mr Jah for responding positively to Dr Jammeh's clarion call for people to go back to the land.

An APRC supporter Modou Cham applauded Hamidu Jah for complementing government's efforts to empower women and youth. Hamidu Jah operates over 20 filling stations in the country and most of his employees are women.

The Basic and Secondary Education Secretary Fatou Lamin Faye thanked Mr Jah for complementing President Jammeh and therefore urged him to keep up the momentum.

In response, the Gambian leader described Hamidou Jah as exemplary and assured him of his support at all times. He also pledged to support Mr Jah with a water pump capable of watering over seven kilo metres. Dr Jammeh used the occasion to stress the need for Gambians especially youths to change their attitude and pay heed to his call for nation building.
