President Yahya Jammeh, yesterday received Douglas Jaffe, Chief Executive Officer of the JetTran International at State House, Banjul .
Speaking to journalists, soon after his audience with the Gambian leader, Douglas Jaffe, explained that the courtesy call on President Jammeh, was meant to discuss a wide range of issues, including Tourism development and also on airline business.
He went on to state that he was interested in working closely with The Gambia government, so as to extend his airline operations in the country.
Meanwhile, he has expressed satisfaction with developments that have taken place in the country in the past few years, observing a marked difference in terms of development, particularly in the Tourism sector.
“I wish to congratulate President Jammeh and his entire cabinet for the wonderful work it has been doing in The Gambia. This government is determined to improve the country and we will do our utmost to complement its efforts,” he stated.
He urged for a mechanism to be in place in order to help facilitate better collaboration, fast and reliable communication so as to bring about a better understanding between The Gambia and investors. |
