His Excellency, The President of The Republic of The Gambia, Alhaji Dr Yahya A.J.J Jammeh has been conferred the Honorary Fellowship of the Australian – Asian Institute of Civil Leadership in recognition of his outstanding achievements and international standing in Leadership.

In presenting the certificate signifying the Award, the Chairman of the the Australian – Asian Institute of Civil Leadership, Mr R J Nixon JP cited "the illustrious example of positive and effective leadership provided by His Excellency, The President as representing a powerful example to those engaged in leadership roles in all levels and spheres of society". Mr Nixon stated that the Institute has every confidence that His Excellency President Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh will continue to promote development, integrity and peace both in The Gambia and throughout the world.

In accepting the Award with a deep sense of humility, His Excellency the President has conveyed a message of profound gratitude to the Chairman of the Australian – Asian Institute of Civil Leadership.
