The President Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Jammeh on Friday, 6th November received Ambassador Harro Adt, Special Envoy of the German government. Ambassador Adtf said he delivered a special message from Chancellor Angela Merkel centered on bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries. The German Diplomat also said he discussed with President Jammeh regional and global political issues.

In another engagement the Deputy Prosecutor International Criminal Court Fatou Bensouda called on President Jammeh. Ms Bensouda told reporters she is in Banjul as part of the occasional briefings to governments that are signatories to ICC.

She expressed gratitude to government for their support to the ICC efforts in administering justice in the case of the Darfur rebels who attacked AU peacekeepers in 2007. Ms Bensouda said the AU and the ICC are working to restore peace in Sudan.
