President Yahya Jammeh has vowed to change The Gambia into a city state starting in Western Division.

President Jammeh made this disclosure on the 16th day of his 'Dialogue with the people tour' in Gunjur kombo South on Saturday. The Gambian leader said since 1994, Western Division has been rallying behind his administration. "It is your turn now. With the help of God I will turn the country into a city state and it will start in Western Division. He said 2 million Dollars has been secured for Gunjur and the whole of Kombo South will be electrified in the next five years.

President Jammeh also held meetings in Sifoe and Sanyang, where hundreds of UDP supporters defected to APRC.
