The President Alhaji Yahya Jammeh has said the coming five years will witness a massive development programme in the Gambia. Addressing a mass rally held in Serrekunda Central on Wednesday, President Jammeh promised the people of the KMC that his government will provide them with roads, electricity, water and street lights. Also speaking at the meetings, the Secretary of State for Agriculture Yankuba Touray dilated on the development projects implemented by President Jammeh since he came to power in 1994. He therefore urged women and youths to massively vote for President Jammeh to enable him continue with the good work.
The Secretary of State for Communication, Information and Technology Neneh MacDouall-Gaye stressed the need for unity among APRC supporters in Serrekunda Central. She urged the electorate to vote for President Jammeh noting that defections and large turn out at meetings would be meaningless if they do not vote for APRC. The Secretary of State for Works, Communication and Infrastructure Bala Garba Jahumpa urged Gambians to vote for President Jammeh for continuous development. The Former Foreign Affairs Secretary Momodou Lamin Sedat Jobe called on Gambians to vote for President Jammeh for continuous peace, stability and development. He said the country's peace and stability has attracted many businesses into the country from the sub-region.
Sheriffo Camara who described himself as a strong supporter of the UDP announced his defection to the APRC at the Serrekunda meeting and urged his followers to vote for President Jammeh. The Alkalo of Serrekunda Alhaji Seedi Jobe assured the Gambian leader a landslide Victory. |
