Initially held on the first Sunday of December, the event is now observed first Sunday of March.
International Children's Day of Broadcasting is set aside by the World's Children organization UNICEF and accords kids the opportunity to expose their talents and make their voices heard on issues affecting them.
This is in fulfillment of UNICEF's mission to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and expand their opportunities to reach their full potentials.
The theme for this year's celebration is "All Children All Rights".
In observance of the day, school children selected from various schools were in charge of all Radio and Television Programmes throughout the day.
