The President Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Jammeh Wednesday received in audience at Kanilai a special envoy of the Libyan leader Muammar Gathafi.

The emissary Mohammed Al Madani Al Azhari Secretary of the Council of the Community of Sahel - Sahara States CEN SAAD told reporters that their discussions centered on issues of interest to the CEN SAAD region as well as issues concerning the next AU Summit.

He said the Libyan leader who is the chairman of CEN SAAD Convergence Council delegated him to discuss issues pertaining to CEN SAAD ahead of the Chad meeting in May. The Libyan envoy expressed satisfaction with the out come of his meeting with the Gambian leader and noted that he was impressed with the analysis and visionary leadership demonstrated by President Jammeh during their discussions.
