The Association for the Mentally Disabled in The Gambia (AMDG) is the only organization directly working with and for the clients, patients and families of those who are mentally challenged, with the primary objective of supporting the mentally ill at community level and providing them a voice within the society.
On this day of World Mental Health Day, even those that are "mentally challenged" see, know and benefit from your extraordinary developments, especially in the health sector. The association is bringing you the appreciation of the mentally ill and their families. We are very grateful Mr. President and shall continue leaning on you as our father and mentor. Some of us suffered this illness but are conscious enough to know that you are one in a million for this generation and many generations to follow. On this our day as those mentally challenged, we lean on you, gasp for your assistance and promise you of our support in the very limited way we can.
May the Almighty guide and protect you abundantly and provide you the strength to continue with your development agenda for this beloved nation of ours.
Dawda Samba
Association President

My name is Ebrima Jatta of the above address. I would like to express my profound gratitude for the scholarship accorded to me to pursue my education in Economic/Management at the Sharda University in India. Without your intervention I would not have realized my current dream.
I would like to express my unconditional love for Your Excellency and your government in appreciation of the honour you have for me and my family, being the first person amongst my parents' children to further my education up to University level. I would like to assure Your Excellency that you will come out with a landside victory as usual which will be another manifestation of the confidence and love of the Gambian people in you.
May God bless, protect and guide you in all your endeavours.
While anticipating Your Excellency, I wish you and the First Family a happy Tobaski in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Ebrima Jatta
