Your Excellency,

Please allow me to join all those who cherish peace, and the millions who welcome your Excellency's noble peace efforts in congratulating Your Excellency on the success of the recently concluded meeting in Banjul of the ECOWAS Contact Group on the Guinea Bissau crisis under Your Excellency's able chairmanship.

Sir, I humbly write on my own behalf to express my profound admiration and respect for the brilliant and eloquent speech your Excellency delivered. The speech was straight forward, frank and pircing, and resonated not only in the sub-region but all over Africa and beyond.

Your Excellency's sterling quality and true mettle has been amply demonstrated (yet again) at the decently concluded Dakar meeting.

Africa is proud of Your Excellency and I have no doubt that sons and daughters of Africa irrespective of religion, gender, tribe or political affiliation are proud to have a son of Africa like Your Excellency.

Once again I salute Your Excellency's statesmanship and also for making ECOWAS a beacon of hope for the sub-region, Africa and humanity. It is written in one of the Holy Scriptures that "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God”. Please allow me to renew my unflinching support and loyalty to Your Excellency. May Allah (SWT) in his infinite grace and mercy continue to answer to our fervent prayers for your Excellency and your humble family.
